Multiple dance companies from throughout the country came together in Milwaukee for Dance Fest 2025 on Aug. 2.Nō Studios presented this year’s festival, which was held at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Dance Fest is a combined performance and features elite dance companies from throughout the country. This year’s showcase included a variety of dance styles like contemporary, street dance and traditional ballet.Groups that performed in this year’s festival included Ailey II (New York, New York), Water Street Dance Milwaukee, Madison Ballet, House of Jit (Detroit, Michigan), Chicago Dance Crash, Visceral Dance (Chicago, Illinois) and Madd Rhythms (Chicago, Illinois).Before this year’s showcase, which started at 7:30 p.m., there was also Yoga in the park, African dance classes, Bachata dance classes, a Q&A with company directors, live music and more.WISN 12 News is a proud sponsor of Dance Fest.
