Slated to run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20, the event in collaboration with the John F. “We are honored to once again welcome everyone as the official South Florida host of National Dance Day,” Tracy C. Butler, senior director of education for the Kravis said in a prepared statement. “Dancers and movers of all ages and abilities are invited to join us in the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion for an entire day of free events, led by our dance professionals.
“Dancing not only promotes better physical and mental health but is also a way to connect us together as a community. National Dance Day is a perfect opportunity to try something new, or to rediscover the joy dancing brings to your life.”
The sessions begin 11:30 a.m. with a warm up led by Lori Ramirez, middle school dance, acting and musical theater teacher at The Benjamin School. Ramirez spent 12 years with the Radio City Rockettes.
Attendees are then free to join the workshops that will be hosted throughout the Kravis Center.
