One artist’s reimagining of Captain America: Brave New World looks like something straight out of a Disney movie. One of the best parts about Marvel growing such a huge following over the years is the amount of fan-created content it spawns. From cosplay to fan art, fans can express their love for characters in their own art style. The MCU’s latest film inspired one artist to draw the main characters, Sam Wilson’s Captain America and Thaddeus Ross’ Red Hulk, in a style that is recognizable to many.
Twitter/X user MarkBrooksArt posted illustrations of Red Hulk and Sam Wilson reimagined in the style of Disney animation, and it is stunningly perfect. The artist, Mark Brooks, is actually a Marvel illustrator who has done cover art for comic titles like Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men Legacy. Brooks’ Red Hulk and Sam Wilson illustrations are part of a series where he draws Marvel characters in the style of Disney 2D animation. The illustrator has also posted art of members of groups like the X-Men, Young Avengers, and Dark Avengers in this art series.
What The Sam Wilson Captain America And Red Hulk Art Means
Brooks’ art manages to perfectly capture the look of Sam Wilson and Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World. They are completely recognizable as their original characters while also looking like something that could’ve been done by an animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios. While Sam has always been on the Avengers’ side, Brave New World was his first foray as a major lead hero. Brooks’ illustration makes him look like the main character of a Disney hero story, playing opposite Red Hulk’s sly grin perfectly.
