SUPERIOR — Artists at Four Corners Elementary School have been focusing on the elements of line, shape and color, and exploring different art techniques. We have also been examining different artists and looking at and talking and their work.
Kindergarten artists have been drawing using lines and shapes. They created lions based on the art of Henri Rousseau. They also used watercolor techniques using cool and warm colors.

Students also had to draw a self-portrait and experimented with splatter painting to create a contrasting background with their black and white drawings.
Second grade artists have been using line and shape to draw monsters and used complementary colors. They also cut organic and geometric shapes to create collages based on the artwork of Henri Matisse.
